Matt. 25: 14 - 15
FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AS A MAB TRAVELLING INTO A FAR COUNTRY,WHO CALLED HIS OWN SERVANTS! AND DELIVERED UNTO THEM HIS GOODS.
AND UNTO ONE HE GAVE FIVE TALENTS! TO ANOTHER TWO, AND TO ANOTHERONE; TO EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS SEVERAL ABILITY; AND STRAIGHTWAY TOOK HIS JOURNEY.

This week, we will study the second point in this series, prayerfully study and meditate in it so that you can walk in it. It will surely bring increase into your life.
2) RECOGNISING AND USING YOUR GIFTS.
From the scripture above, contrary to the beleive of many, God who is represented by the master in this parable, does not give equally to all His servants, but gives to them in accordance to what they are capable of handling.
l This implies that the servants determine what they receive from their master. This hold true for us in relation to what we receive from God.
l Our ability is the basic determinant of what we receive from God.
l It is not based on our vision, dreaming or wishes.
l Our ability in this context is revealed by what we have produced or accomplished. This is consistent with, if you are faithful in little, much more shall be given to you.
l Our ability can either be increased or decreasead, hence no one should be jealous of his neighbour's status. All that is needed to be done is to increase our performance instead of been jealous.
l You are capable of doing more than what you have done now. This happens by increasing your ability.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR ABILITY AND CAPABILITY
Ability is the resources you have utilised. These gave birth to results you have now.
Capability is the sum total of all the dormant resources available to you. This is
what you are capable of doing. You are able to surpass your present achievement
by utilising your dormant resources or as generally referred to as your potential.
Your untapped resources.
Transforming capability into ability is key to promotion. The servants that multiplied what was given to them received promotion from their master.
We all have the same capability but the difference is, some have learnt to transform
their capabilities into ability while others for one reason or the other have not been
able to do so.
Eph. 3: 20
NOW UNTO HIM THAT IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKETH IN US.
CAPABILITY is God who is able to do exceeding far abuntantly above all we ask or
think. God does things through all His gifts, the spiritual gifts, natural talents,
ministry gifts, physical resources, human resources, financial resources. Everything
created given to man. Everything that pertains unto life and godliness.
ABILITY is the power of God that is at work in you. The power of God that you have
learnt to utilise. Everything that pertain to life and godliness that you have mastery
of. They make way for you and bring you before kings and rulers.
Pro. 18: 16
A MAN'S GIFT MAKETH ROOM FOR HIM, AND BRINGETH HIM BEFORE GREAT MEN.
However not every gifted person have been able to succeed, some are languishing in poverty and lack. It is not enough to have potentials, potetials that are not turnedinto kinetics do not profit anybody. They must be turned into kinectics for people tobenefit from them and subsequently appreciate the owners.
Eccl. 10: 10
IF THE IRON BE BLUNT, AND HE DO NOT WHET THE EDGE, THEN MUST HE PUT TO MORE STRENGTH: BUT WISDOM IS PROFITABLE TO DIRECT.
This is the reason why people find it difficult to translate capability into ability; it requires acquisition of wisdom.The absence of wisdom brings limitation.
PROV.17: 8
A GIFT IS AS A PRECIOUS STONE IN THE EYES OF HIM THAT HATH IT: WHITHER SOEVER IT TURNETH, IT PROSPERETH.
l To translate capability into ability, you must acquire necessary skills to put each gift and potential into use.
l To acquire skills, your gifts must be precious in your sight that you see it worthwhile of developing its use.
You only invest in things that are precious to you, anything you consider common,
you do not invest in it. Until you believe that your gifts are precious you will not
acquire the necessary skills for their use.
People only reward excellent use of gifts. The same is true in the kingdom. He said
to the servant that increased the talent given to him, WELDONE GOOD AND
FAITHFUL SERVANT BE RULER OVER TEN CITIES. He was promoted for diligently
using what was given to him. He translated his capability into ability.
PRAYER POINTS:
· Father I ask for the grace to recorgnise and appreciate all the things you have given me.
· Father I ask for the grace to invest in order to put all that you gave me to use.
· Father grant me largeness or heart in order to be skillful in all aspect of life and bear fruit that will abide, because you prune branches so that they can bear much more fruit. My fruitfulness brings glory to you.
All these i ask in Jesus name.
